who we are

At Kekoa Capital, we believe financial planning should be about more than numbers on a balance sheet — it should be about you. Your values, your habits, and your vision for the life you want to build.

True financial health isn’t measured by the size of your portfolio; it’s reflected in your sense of security, the freedom to make choices, and the confidence that your money is working for you, not against you.

That’s why we take a different approach. We don’t believe your fees should rise just because your assets grow — your success shouldn’t come with a penalty. Instead, we offer a flat-fee model that keeps the focus where it belongs: on your goals, your behaviors, and the everyday decisions that shape long-term success.

Money is deeply personal. It connects to your relationships, your career, your future, and your sense of peace. We help you create a plan that fits who you are — not just where the markets move — so you can grow not only your wealth, but your confidence and clarity along the way.

our mission

Financial planning shouldn’t be overwhelming; it should be empowering.
At Kekoa Capital, we simplify the process, helping you understand and take control of your financial future with clarity and purpose.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all advice. We believe in listening first — then creating a personalized plan that reflects your values, your habits, and the life you want to live.

Our mission is to help you make smart, sustainable financial decisions, turning money into a tool for confidence, not stress. With guidance rooted in behavioral insight and practical action, we’ll help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and control at every stage of your journey.

About Katie

I’m Katie, the founder of Kekoa Capital, and I believe financial planning should feel like a conversation, not a lecture.

After years in the financial services industry, I saw how often people felt left out of their own financial story — talked at instead of listened to. I founded Kekoa Capital to change that. My approach is rooted in trust, transparency, and understanding, helping clients make confident, sustainable decisions without the jargon, pressure, or judgment.

The idea for Kekoa Capital started in college, when friends would ask, “What should I do with my money?”, “How do I start saving?”, or “Is this normal?” Those questions opened my eyes to a gap in the industry — people wanted honest, accessible guidance, not sales pitches. I built Kekoa Capital to fill that space, where financial advice feels personal, practical, and empowering.

I believe that lasting financial progress comes from understanding behavior as much as balance sheets — aligning your money with your values, habits, and goals. My role is to help you find clarity, build confidence, and create a plan that truly fits your life.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me outside with my dog, Koa, exploring new places or spending the afternoon with family and friends.

Koa’s name inspired Kekoa, which means “brave” in Hawaiian — a reminder that every step toward financial clarity takes courage.
